Help me install and run the Public edition of Gog Companion on this computer using https://gog.nanonix.net/.

1. Check my operating system, CPU architecture, RAM, available disk space and GPU/VRAM or unified memory. Check for an existing Gog installation, companion and local model before changing anything. Preserve my existing companion, settings and models; do not copy someone else's companion or uninstall/reset an existing installation without asking.
2. Read the current platform status and https://gog.nanonix.net/downloads.json. Use only the matching download linked by this website, over valid HTTPS. Verify its SHA-256 against the manifest before running or extracting it. Stop on a certificate error, hash mismatch, unavailable artifact or unsupported platform; never disable security checks to continue. These are early-access test builds, not signed production releases. Explain relevant warnings and ask before administrator access or changes to security settings.
3. On supported Windows or Debian/Ubuntu x64, install the matching Public package. On an Apple Silicon Mac, there is no verified binary yet: offer a native ARM source build, ask before installing prerequisites, then follow https://gog.nanonix.net/mac-build.html and the included README. Run their checks. Do not claim untested macOS support or build the private Owner edition.
4. Launch the graphical app, not just the terminal interface. If I already have a companion, open it without resetting it. Otherwise leave the first-run wizard open so I can choose the name, colours, creature design and personality myself. Reuse a compatible existing model where supported. Explain any proposed model download and its size, confirm it fits this machine, and ask before downloading it. Never upload my data or enter credentials without my approval.
5. Once I finish setup, verify that the configured model actually responds, the desktop pet appears, and the companion name, design and model connection survive an orderly restart. Report what you verified and any blockers honestly. Remove only temporary installation files you created, not my companion data or model downloads.
